Presidents Note:

Hello WVCC friends and members,

A little note about the WVCC: Our first annual Community Awareness event; April, 24th 2010 hosted by our partners at the Glendale Foothills Recreational Aquatic Center, many local business, (you can see our sponsors on our homepage ) community members and WVCC members;  proved to be amazing,  successful and fun, and allowed our group to introduce ourselves to the Westside community.  The group is looking forward to a bigger and better 2011 second annual event.  Talks began at our June 2010 meeting.  (Recruiting all talent!!)

Our June 12th, 2010 WVCC meeting  was held at our partner,  Cancer Treatment Centers of America Goodyear location and was eventful; the group is collaborating in growing the website, adding new resources for those touched by cancer, growing our volunteer base, and creating ideas to collaborate and engage our West valley community.

We would like to personally invite anyone who wishes to be a part of a strong and growing group of fabulous people, engage your special talents and skills to our group in creating ways & connecting resources for people touched by cancer.  Please join us at our next meeting; July 10th 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Goodyear Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 14200 West Fillmore Street Goodyear, AZ 85338 (623) 207-3000.

A little History - Our organization has been together since fall of 2008, we are all inclusive, upbeat and always looking for volunteers to bring their own positive energy, ideas and passion to make a difference for people touched by cancer.  The WVCC was an initiative started by the Wellness Community of Arizona, and a grant from St Lukes Health Initiative, community partners that support the development of healthy communities.  
I personally look forward to meeting you in our journey to make the difference for those touched by cancer.
